Fall into Family History with VGA’s Virtual Genealogical Conference!

I love a good pun and I am not ashamed. Especially one involving my favorite season of Fall! This time of year is always a special one for me. The changing leaves, cooler temperatures, family events and alllllll the pumpkins, make me feel so grateful and nostalgic. I have also noticed the productivity in my own family research increases during this time. Perhaps it’s all the positive vibes I am feeling, or maybe the ancestors are calling?

RootsTech 2019 Pass Giveaway

October 2018 has been the busiest Family History Month yet! I was able to giveaway a DNA kit, and attend the Arkansas Genealogical Society Fall Seminar and meet speaker, CeCe Moore of DNA Detectives! I have also just about completed a lineage application for the Mayflower Society and two other DAR supplement applications. Throw in some great pumpkin patch outings and it has been a wonderful month!

Q & A with the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies

It’s no secret that I adore my home state of Arkansas. In addition to the wonderful people, there is so much great history! As a 7th generation Arkansan on both my mother and father’s sides, I am particularly proud of my deep roots in the state and try to research there every chance I get.
