As I am still on maternity leave, I thought I would share this great blog post from Roots & Recall on of the Kings Mountain monument. The Battle of Kings Mountain was one of the most important battles of the American Revolution as it was a turning point of the war in the South. Several of my own Patriots, including Major Richard Goode and Arthur Garrison, fought there.
I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Independence Day! Perhaps your own ancestors fought in the American Revolution? If you are curious as to how to begin your research please contact me. I would love to help you find your family origins and perhaps a Patriot or two!
