This Weekend: Next Gen Meet Up and Genealogy Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas

I am so excited about this weekend’s activities! I will be attending the 2015 Genealogy Workshop hosted by the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies. Lisa Louise Cooke, owner of, is the speaker for the Center’s annual genealogy workshop.

This day-long workshop, held in the Central Arkansas Library System’s Ron Robinson Theater on the CALS Main Library campus, is free and open to the public. Registration is required and can be accessed here.

For those of you who are interested in learning more about The NextGen Genealogy Network, we will have a meet up during the lunch break. We will head over to the Book Ends Cafe, in the Cox Creative Center, just across the south parking lot from the Butler Center. Please use the contact form on my page to let me know if you would like to join in!

On Sunday, I will be traveling to Warren, Arkansas, to do some family research on MB Garrison and his first wife, Mary Jane. I am very excited to be able to get a chance to go to Warren and do some investigating even with an expected heat index of 108 degrees!  The things we do for research, right?
